"You can't stay in your corner of the forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes." -- A. A. Milne

How to be Smarter: Book Recommendation: Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari and Eric Klinenberg. I saw Aziz perform stand-up as a surprise guest at a comedy club a few years ago, and I have been a huge fan of his ever since. I was so excited to read this book, and it was as enjoyable as I hoped. It's a great mix of funny jokes and really interesting research (the book's co-author is well-respected sociologist Eric Klinenberg) on modern dating and relationships. Would be an awesome book for a book club to discuss. How to be Prettier: I have this dress in ivory and absolutely love it - light, airy, and perfect for a summer date night.

How to be (less) Awkward: "Our instinct is often to say to a friend who’s suffering, 'Let me know if there’s anything you need.' While well meaning, this gesture unintentionally shifts the obligation to the aggrieved. Instead of offering 'anything,' just do something." -- Great quote from this article on how to be a friend in deed.
