A SP&A Book Gift Guide!

Today I put together a mini-gift guide of books I have read and loved, divided by who in your life might like them. Most of the books are fairly recent, in the past two years or so, and you can see a longer review of each book in the book recommendations section here. Enjoy and happy reading!

For your advice-column-loving friend: Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar by Cheryl Strayed. (Best book I read in 2014 - wish I had read it when it first came out. I loved it so much).

For your comedy-fan friend: Yes Please by Amy Poehler. (She has probably already read Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling and Bossypants by Tina Fey).

For your 20-something friend: 101 Secrets For Your Twenties by Paul Angone and The Defining Decade by Meg Jay. (The Defining Decade is probably in my top 5 of books of all-time).

For your wants-to-try-online-dating-but-is-scared friend: Love At First Click by Laurie Davis.

For your just-graduated friend: Welcome to the Real World by Lauren Berger.

For your just-got-a-new-job friend: The First 90 Days by Michael Watkins and Promote Yourself: The New Rules for Career Success by Dan Schawbel.

For your friend-that-loved The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin: Pre-order Gretchen's next book, Better Than Before, which comes out this spring. (I received an advance copy of this book and loved it - I'll do a full review when it comes out in March).

For your go-getter friend: The Freaks Shall Inherit the Earth: Entrepreneurship for Weirdos, Misfits, and World Dominators by Chris Brogan and The $100 Startup by Chris Guilleabeau. (She has probably already read Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will To Lead by Sheryl Sandberg).

For your healthy-tips-loving friend: Eat Sleep Move by Tom Rath.

For your productivity-fan friend: Eat That Frog! by Brian Tracy, 168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think by Laura Vanderkam, and What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast by Laura Vanderkam.
