"You can’t stay in your corner of the forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes." -- A. A. Milne

How to be Smarter: While reading your phone or using your computer in bed, turn down the brightness on the screen to help your body register that it’s time for sleep. How to be Prettier: If you have new special-occasion shoes that you want to keep in perfect condition until the big day, practice wearing them around the house. This will break them in, but they will not get dirty because you’re only wearing them indoors.

How to be (less) Awkward: At an event or party that’s likely to have speeches, try to never finish your whole glass. Leave a little in the bottom in case an unexpected toast or cheers comes up.
