"The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life." -- Muhammad Ali

How to be Smarter: In work conversations and communications, substituting the word “potentially” instead of “maybe” sounds more professional. How to be Prettier: Knowing you will have guests coming over is usually an easy way to encourage yourself to tidy up your house. If you have no immediate plans for friends or family to come over, order delivery and pretend the delivery person is a “guest”—in the half hour or so before the “guest” arrives, you can clean up for their “arrival!” Then enjoy your delivery in your nice, clean home.

How to be (less) Awkward: If you sometimes feel like everyone has more professional experience, knowledge, or a bigger social life than you, focus on just being nice. Other people may have strengths in specific areas, but oftentimes just being thoughtful and considerate wins more clients, goodwill, and friends than anything else.
