"Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works. If it works big, others quickly copy it. Then you do something else. The trick is the doing something else." -- Tom Peters

How to Smarter: If rejection scares you because getting a “no” feels like a failure, change the goal from “getting one yes” to “getting as many no’s” as possible. If the goal is simply to pitch your project, ask for dates, or submit job applications, then getting the “no’s” will feel productive and when you do get the “yes,” you will be pleasantly surprised. How to be Prettier: Save time folding laundry by buying all your socks the same brand, height, and color.

How to be (less) Awkward: If talking about yourself makes you uncomfortable in small-talk situations, keep the focus off you by asking open-ended questions that require a bit of time for the other person to answer.
